I was delighted to attend the launch of the National Farmers Union (NFU) manifesto for the next General Election in Westminster. In February of this year, Keir Starmer gave a key-note address to the NFU conference in Birmingham, where he detailed how the next Labour government would be ready to listen, ready to partner, ready to serve. A fairer, greener, more dynamic future for British farming. I look forward to working alongside the NFU to ensure we deliver a ‘new deal’ for farmers and rebuild trust with the farming community after thirteen years of uncertainty.
